Mason Cuts $7 Million
Effect on University as Yet Unclear
George Mason University will soon have to cut 5 percent of spending, a cost of approximately $7 million from the university budget. The cuts are a result of Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine’s recent directive requiring that state agencies reduce their operating budgets to counter the effects of a $641 million revenue shortfall.
